What's this cab? A altec plan?

Just get this pair empty cab, huge! Almost same size as Altec 828.
Can you tell me what is it? Is this fit for a altec plan?

Looks like a horn loaded bass bin of the homebrew variety to me. If the lower section is really open as it looks to me there is something fundamentally flawed as per my limited understanding of horn design, kind of almost like a reverse tapped horn. I would bet it would go fairly low and make a fair bit of noise tho. Throw a 15 in it and see what it does, let us know, Enjoy! Life is way too short.
