Well I’ve cut the leads away from the phone jack input as its damaged from the inside and there’s no sure way I can get to it. So I’ll have to take a short cut and solder the wires directly to the leads leading to each side left and right. I’ve looked at the wiring colour and figured out which one needs to be soldered (red to right and green to left).
The negative is shared on both sides so I’ll solder that up and insulate it.
I’ll figure out a way to make the lead as secure as I can for normal use, as I don’t want to have to keep opening up the headphones to keep re-soldering loss wires.
The headphone input jack was damaged 2 to 3 years ago, and now is the time to fix them. I know it sounds kinder Frankenstein, but it’s the only way around it.
