Hi all Im new here and love this site great info guys anyways I have something that I could use some help on.Recently came upon these University Speaker cabinets and noticed that they had jbl signature 075 speaker and the d130 woofer and in one n2400 16 ohm set control but the other had a 2600 set control 16 & 32 ohm setting.I am curious to why they would be different as well as if they are the original that came with it new? Anyways if anybody has any info please reply as well as what the value is on them.I thank you in advance for any info again Thanks.http://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt189/slamnpit510/DSC01300-1.jpghttp://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt189/slamnpit510/DSC01313.jpghttp://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt189/slamnpit510/DSC01302.jpghttp://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt189/slamnpit510/Image1.jpghttp://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt189/slamnpit510/DSC01309.jpghttp://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt189/slamnpit510/DSC01314.jpg:) Thanks guys I love this forum it rocks!

You may want to do some research here on the specs of these drivers and networks. Go to the bottom of the home page here and see the spec sheets for JBL drivers.

Anyway, I think the specs on 075 tweeter drivers are 2500 to 15Hz and it is doubtful your woofer can go up to the low end of the tweeter spec.

I suppose you could always add some compression drivers/horns (or other suitable mid-range cone drivers) and revised networks to fill out the "missing" mid-range frequencies.

...then again, I know a sound engineer who claims to have had a system comprised of LE14 woofers and 075 tweeters that he says sounded great but I never heard the system, however.

No problem with the D130 playing up to 2400Hz. It's actually considered a "full-range" speaker. I have had the same drivers in use for fifty years. I'm more concerned with the size of the box apportioned for the D130, the fact that I don't see a reflex port in the pictures, and the 075 playing to the floor. Does the grille cloth have to come off to adjust the crossover L-pad? The D130 is a bit bass-challenged on a good day and it won't be helped by shrinking the box. The enclosure was obviously not intended for the D130 and that baffle board with the banana-shaped add-on to accommodate it looks a bit bizarre. Do tell me there's a bass port somewhere? ;)

Your right I do Have to unscrew it to get to the control nob lol I wasnt sure what that is all about. There is a bass port on bottom they have some cloth that covers it. :)
