That's the first time I've seen a picture of your 2397's. They're gorgeous.

They seems to, in that they're made from plywood. On the other hand, the name 'R????? Audio' burned into their back suggesting a larger scale manufacture. Made me wonder if someone there had started to produce items like these 'on the cheap' which I imagine should sell like hotcakes to afficidinados who can't quite come up with the bigger bucks for the 'admittedly' drop dead gorgous horn that you make.

FWIW: Visaton in Germany still sell a wooden horn that seems to be a "Smith" horn type:

Looks like a smaller brother of the 2397 with 4 cells.

They have two versions. The cheaper one made out of MDF is about 400 $ and a birch plywood version sells for around 600 $ each. Thats local prices.

Not exactly cheap but I understand that they are of good quality.
