Hello Hifi, Since you asked if there was anything else I wanted to know. I did want you to respond to the white silicon bead that was applied to the D120F's in a circular pattern just behind the mounting holes. Do you know what year this was started and do you know what the purpose was. Thanks again Genmin

You're probably better off asking that question in your other thread since it applies to that. And remember; Harvey worked at JBL, not Fender. ;)

The bead was probably to seal the speaker (which is a stupid idea, if Fender had bothered to mount them right in the first place).

And actually, I DID work at Fender for a while, but with Harold Rhodes, working on the Rhodes Piano, and Rhodes Bass.
