About a year ago I picked up from my old high school an Altec Incremental Power Model 2200 amp and a pair of Altec 1650 Active Equalizers. They were just going to chuck them in order to make room for their new Behringer(haha) power amps so i asked if I could take them off their hands. I am not sure if they still work. Does anybody have any ideas to see if they still function? I have a newer sony reciever, could I try hooking them up to it?

The designer of that amp posted on the Altec site a while back, Those are fairly serious stuff, tho it comes under the category of Amps with Fans which limits the utility for home use......

There were some mods posted in the Altec technical letters about? conversion from 70 ohm?

I like the swappable output cards, I wonder if the edge connectors were prone to corrosion.

I have seen the high output cards listed somewhere for sale.

Enjoy, I have the baby brother 2202 2 channel, no fan model, very nice no issues.

Is the Altec Lansing 9444A the same amp as an Electrovoice EV7300?
