Hello,
I been lurking about this site for quite a while and have learned something every visit..
I have just bought an empty pair of C37 enclosureshttp://www.flickr.com/photos/57689236@N00/3277156833/in/set-72157613768117909/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/57689236@N00/3277156833/(Ebay Item number:150323240074). Drove from Illinois to Georgia to pick them up. Easily my best ebay experience...They are flawless...Great legs;)... Empty:(... but beautiful. I'm in the process of repopulating them (075,175,in place now and 130 or another more affordable 15 inch drivers soon)
The seller included a complete detailed set of full size "blueprints" from JBL dated 1958 (they even include a cut list , assembly and veneering instructions). I have seen the plans on this site, but I 'm speaking of full blown drawings including things like the adapter rings for a le-14 driver, bracing, and even the blanks to cover unused openings in the baffle. I am interested in a similar set to build a C34, the folded horn from the same time period (1954-1962). I'm sure they are out there somewhere. I would like to buy a copy of those drawings if any one has them for sale.

Nice buy! As I recall those went for something like $28!

I can't help you with the plans but I do know there's at least one member here who can help you populate those bad boys with a nice 001 system. :)

Yes, the seller was the best I've ever dealt with, and WAF made them mine.
I have tried to buy good d130's without paying an arm and leg,wih no luck. I have the 075 and LE175 Drivers & POTATO MASHER HORNS 1217-1290 mounted ,but I'm putting in 2150's and 3125 two way crossovers tonight, I recently recieved for a listen.
Your altec/jbl loving group has educated us all, driving up prices of all the real good stuff beyond my meager means.;)
I am falling in love with the look of the 37's, I hope they respond with a sound as good as they look.
I have owned a single rough homebuilt c-34 for 45 years ( didn't know what it was for 40 years). It was connected to anything that made sound my whole teenage life, and I have always wanted a good looking pair. I know the 34 and 37 are two complete different species, but I like the beefy look they both have, but want the bottom end that the C-34 has.

This is a C-34 that ebayed last year, mine looks like it was made of old barn wood.

I always preferred the look of the C40 myself. Much more attractive, like your C37s.

Ok, now I want those full blown prints for the c-40 too.
Because of this site I'll never be able to afford to retire :o:.
Can we have one of everything?
