Speaker Cabling..What can the 4430 accept?

Hello All,
Currently using 12ga for the 4430, and it fits, but my Speaker Cables have seen better days, and was thinking of some new, relatively inexpensive cable, perhaps Belden 5000 10ga from Blue Jeans Cable? Was wondering will the 4430 Push Pins accept 10ga Belden? I've got some new Canare 4S11 lying around here as well. Mark

Thinking you could leave the 4430 terminals stock and put crimp pins on the wires of
your choice... or replace the input terminals to suit your wire needs.

Cardas makes pins that will take larger wire (CNDP -G or -N for gold or nickel)

On my four L-65 Jubals, they'll take anything I throw at them, with large, custom Edison Price 5-ways, but in this case with these 4430's I just acquired, I'd prefer leaving these babies absolutely bone stock. So, was just wondering if the stock push pins will accept 10ga without resorting to adapter pins, and the like?

They do take the 12ga, and from what I can see, they "might" take 10ga? If I had to "peel" a few strands, I dont think it would hurt too much, do ya think? Thanks, Mark

knock yourself out... you won't hurt anything. I've not felt the need to 'go big'
on my 4430's but my cables are fairly short.

If you do this very often (hook up cables to different speakers) the pins are nice.

Monster does make these but I'm not sure what the max size cable they'll accept is. I would guess 12 gauge since 14 seemed to have a lot of room.

The braided ends do make dealing with the push connectors a lot easier. I use the Monster Lock version with the Z2 cables on my 4430s. I have used the bannana plug Quick Lock version on another set of cables and they seem to hold up pretty well.
