I'm pretty stoked! I bought a mint pair of L20Ts off eBay, they are due soon.:applaud:

Now I have the complete L-series from the late 1980s-early 1990s.

L20T
L60T
L80T
L100T

I will post a family portrait as soon as I can gather them all together. Only problem is, I almost give myself a hernia moving the L100Ts around, they are big boys.:D

With 4345's in there I think I would be living in the van, as long as it was down by the river!:p

230 pounds? Damn, that's right about double the 4333As. Ouch.

You waiting to make room in the house, or hire a team of helpers?

230 pounds? Damn, that's right about double the 4333As. Ouch.JBL lists the net weight at 229 lbs. For the 4333A they quote 129-lbs. I said they were HUGE!

These are Rick Riessen's design and build but without crossovers, so it's anybody's guess what they weigh. As the guy on the top-end of the hand-truck going down NewZenith's curving staircase, I'd go with at least 200-lbs. because they were pulling me at times!

Fairly level ground for me. But nowhere to go with them . . . yet. :D

I was talking to a local JBL fan, he has a pair of custom designed JBL enclosures that are made of concrete. Weight is around 350-400 pounds each. I told him he should make sure the floor is reinforced before bringing them into the house!

Once the 15"s are out of the 4333As I can heave 'em around pretty easily. I'd figure even without the 18"s those would be a bear to move.

Have fun, let me know if I can help at all.

That is something I definitely would enjoy doing; collecting them ALL. Remember the trading cards, Matchbox cars and the like? What a feeling that was when you had them ALL! :bouncy:
Is this a favorite series for you or did it just work out that way.
I have a pair of the 20s and would not give them up for the world.

Enjoy the fruits of your labor,
Jim

VERY cool - L20Ts are very fine speakers - they kick butt!
Haven't heard L80Ts or L100Ts ... but sounds like a nice collection!

Pose them and snap pix for us when you get a chance!

380099757512http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/globalAssets/rtCurve.gifFor $325 (incl. shipping to BC) I hope that one surround that looks wonky and re-glued is only an anomaly in the picture.

Very cool to have them in-box. I hope the seller paid a nice fee for using threads from this group! ;)

I'm sure the seller's donation is on the way.

OTOH, a forum member has some more JBLs, so all's well that ends well.

Isn't there a set of L40T's that were also made? Or was that only offered in the L40T3?

L40 and L40A (not the same series, 033 tweets).
L40T3 (035TiA tweets)

No L40T that I'm aware of, though lots of times L40T3s are called L40Ts.

Congradulations. Having read your posts over the last several years I know that you are articulate enough to write a detailed posting of the comparison listening tests you will be doing out of intellectual curiosity. I hope that you share them. In any event, enjoy your collection.

I am envious,

John

I was reading your L60T thread, Heather. You wouldn't like the L80T or L100T, they are even larger than the L60T!

There is a rough pair of L40T3 on eBay right now, with a damaged woofer. I had a look for a replacement component, didn't find one. I'm also not a fan of the "zebra wood" used on that series (L40T3, L80T3, L100T3, L200T3). Have a look at the fading on those L40T3s, obviously exposed to direct sun for a lot of years. Poor things.

I will post a family portrait when the L20Ts get here.

Yeah, and wouldn't you know it, I just got a pair of L100Ts last night - just finished ordering the Surrounds kit for Rick Cobb. I'd seen the picture in the Craigslist ad ands the kinda looked like the L60Ts - but when I got there - wow - I had NO IDEA they were so Huge! Looks like really nice veneer tho!

More pix when I get them inside and oil them down

Just to get some pix of them online - note how they dwarf my L200s - and the L200s are on wheeled plinths so I can move them easily!
Once I get wheeled plinths under THEM, they'll def be the taller of the two!

I love the Pet Shop Boys, and I wouldn't mind hearing them on your L100Ts next to the L200s. Too bad you're so far away.
