I have been told that it is possible to re-cone the 15" K145 musical bass speaker with the re-cone-kit C8R2215, to convert to a 2215 Hi Fi loudspeaker. Can anybody confirm that ? If itīs not possible, whatīs the difference ?

I have investigated the technical spesifications for both speakers, but I canīt figure it out if there is any mechanical differencies. The only thing I can see is different is that the K145 is a litle bit deeper than the 2215.

Thank you.

Bingo! That is the difference. The K-145 uses a deeper cone and is therefore a different basket.

There are so many LE-15s in the world why not get the real deal?

Take off the spacer ring and you can install the 2215 kit.
