Seems like he is one of the few people that still has recones for the 2245?

judging by the glue, that's one perfect recone..

Yeah, this is one of a pair of dead 2240s done recently.

Apparently, the kits were not easy for them to get since I shipped the dead units to Gabriel a few months ago!

Anyway, the look GREAT!

Eric Wayne took me through his large shop; the tour was worth the price of admission.

Looks awsome. I have 2 2240H's layin around that I so want to get turned into 2245's for subs or 4345's

Cant decide which to go with?

Customers 2240 now 2245 going out the door tomorrow.

Standard work for quality JBL Service Centers

By the way, those kits are availiable with no problem.

It greatly depends..

From 210-380 euro's here in Europe for the recone only... Not too happy with these weird prices..

I'm used to the 15" JBL woofers. The 18's make the dust cover look small.

I'm still looking for boxes so I have not tried them yet, unfortunately.

Hey, Friends,

I have always thought the same thing! :D I especially thought that, once I got my 2242H back from Edgewound, afer he'd installed a nice new dust cap on it. Man, that's more like it!! ;):D:bouncy: Still, I'd love to end up with a nice pair of 2245H's, someday, and have added that to my "want" list. No rush, or course. But, someday... Take care, and God Bless!

Every Good Wish,
Doc

I use JBL 2240 and that re-cone into JBL 2245 looks very impassive, I like it! The pictures are 100%, wow the detail and focus is like when I look at my 2240 up close when removing it from the enclosure.

Only thing missing is the label on the back as I brought it second hand 12 years ago. Wow 12 years and still running.:bouncy:

How much did this re-cone set you back and how long did the re-cone procedure take?

I still can’t get over the look of the re-cone and the picture quality, fantastic.

Also few mentioned the (glue line) just how far on the inside did you place the glue as the attachment of two pieces pressing together would expand the glue outwards and smearing over the edge of the foam.

It’s very neat and tide job very well done.

Oh, forget about the cost I saw on page 1. That much at best wow!
