I'm trying to research an early 60's altec speaker...about 1962..a friend of mine had a 12 inch altec GREEN frame speaker put into his fender amp...to carry bass as well as guitar..it had a spun alum cap in dome...as I remember watcing the cap thru the grill screen...it appeard as though it was pulsing or movement at least 1/2inch or MORE as he played his guitar...had a great sound as I remember...Now I was under the impression that it might of been a biflex such as a 412..but not positive....however I cannot seem to find any specs as to a 12 inch green frame biflex with a aluminum dust cap.....could that cap of been an add on modification...back then...can anyone help me find this mysterious speaker...or direct me to what I might of been looking at..if it wasnt a biflex.......help....:blink::(ducky
