I am currently at the CES in Vegas. Anybody else? I'll be at the High End Audio dept. at the Venetian tomorrow. Would like to meet fellow LH members.

I have seen a couple of LHS members already.

I will be at our High End Powertrain dept at the Speedway however.

Any one interested in motorsports is welcome to come on out, I would also like to meet more of the LHS members.

Have fun out there!
Barry.

I would be curious to know if JBL has the LS Series there and, if so, some impressions of them.:bouncy:

I was thinking the same thing the other day, as to JBL showing off the LS. Unless Harman has changed its mind about selling the LS in NA this year.

Saw the thread too late or I would have asked you to go slap Oppo and tell them to get their BD/SACD player to market ASAP instead of freakin March.

Ditto for Logitech's Harmony One RF

If you want to hear something beyond special check out the KR Audio Kronzilla amps from the Czech Republic. I am told the lady that runs it is very, very nice. Venetian Tower 29-218

Looks different and appeals to the judges, anyway.

I'll put on my gas mask for when the Old Farts start butt-flaming this one. :bomb: It is a pretty ripe target.

Apparently they were launched last fall in Europe.

I went, I searched, I could not find JBL or Harman at CES.

Invstbiker...Sorry to see your post too late.

We even went to Harman's Hilton Suites as listed in the printed Exhibitor Directory...No sign outside the door. There is a board listing who's where in the hotel suites...Harman nor JBL were listed.

A search of CESweb.org exhibitors list shows no Harman nor JBL attending.

Maybe they had private invitation only meetings for current dealers? I don't know.

I just know I couldn't find them, so I gave up looking. They weren't even in the North Hall where car audio is displayed.

Now...TAD and Pioneer....that's a different story. Pioneer has their act together.

Andrew's compact Reference One's were perfection...$30,000/pair.

They should probably move it to Asia for future events.

The International Consumer Electronics Show drew just 110000 visitors - down 22 percent from last year - over its five-day run in Las Vegas, which is the lowest in a long time.

No worries Edgewound, CES was a busy time for me, first two days spent on business, then my last day checking out the hi end audio. As far as Harman goes, you are correct sir. They were MIA. JBL, MIA, James B. Lansing, MIA. And I was disappointed with that. However, I did hear some really nice 2 channel systems. Focus, Totem, Joseph Audio, and Westlake to name a few. This can be one expensive hobby with this new equipment and very few "deals" considering the economy.

One of my cab drivers mentioned 120000 and the cab business is way down, But he did say the the AVN convention drew 40000 hardcore people .
