Hello,
I want to improve my PC as an audio source by obtaining an external DAC. These are my current options as they are available second-hand for a reasonable price

- Benchmark dac-1
- Musical Fidelity a3.24
- Bel Canto dac-2
- Opus do-it-yourself dac, fully assembled

Any take on one (or more) of these? Which one would you choose?

Hello,
you can also model APOGEE Mini-Dac with USB plugs, which has a very good sound.
This model is easy to find second hand.
Best regards.

HI,
I'm considering this idea myself. Very interesting. Check out this web site for their recommendations

Let me know your impressions. I will be trying to find some DACS to listen to myself,

All I can say is that I've been using a Bel Canto DAC-2 for as long as it's been out there, and it's outstanding. I'm pitching this against two very good turntables (A Scheu and a Thorens TD-124), and have never really found any reason to trash Ceedee's like you read in so many places. It's a very very good buy.

Thanks for all the input :) I ended up with a MF 3.24 dac. It's a very robust piece of equipment and sounds very good, it's all that counts. :)
