bottleneck

Hi
I just have a query -
TAD 4002 - I'm attaching them to a Smith horn. I've tried M6 bolts to attach the 'adaptor' on the 4002 to the Smith horn, and the bolts go through the Smith horn ok, but only go partially into the 4002 before snagging. I shant force, for fear of stripping the threads.
It is incredibly nearly a UK M6, it must be something very near that.
My best guess is that the 4002 uses M6 ''imperial'' ?? Anyone know (100% sure - I dont want to spend twice)
Looking forward to hearing your experiences.
Finally, un-related the to above - the horn doesn't quite fit on top of my bass cab, the bass cab is slightly too shallow for the compression driver to fit fully on. It looks a little precarious..
Has anyone fashioned and taken photos of methods of ''balancing & attaching'' a horn on top of a bass cab? (like some kind of brace or similar)
I could fashion something, but it would be nice to see what others have done with a similar predicament.
Thanks guys.
Cheers, Chris

The instruction sheet says M6X20MM
I assume it to mean Metric.
I was not aware that there is an Imperial thread designation for "M".
I was actually baffled to discover Wentworth thread.

Hi OM,
Thanks for looking it up for me.
I know it's not UK metric M6, as I've tried two different M6 bolts (that work in other M6 sockets), and they just don't quite fit.
I am wondering if it's 1/4 of an inch, which is the nearest imperial equivalent.
I've tried contacting TAD, but they have no UK representation.. the UK office has contacted Japan for me, but I'm not sure how long that will take to get an answer - if they do!!.
If anyone else has experience of the 4002 - I think Scott works with a chap called Shorty who knows the driver very well - so Scott if you're reading, could you ask around also?
THanks again,

THanks again,1/4 x 20 should work, IF they are snagging, most likely the threads got f__ked up by the previous user trying to force the wrong bolt into it.
Easy fix, get the proper TAP, and rethread the bolt holes.

Of course, I didn't notice your in the UK! Maybe TAD threads the bolt holes metric, instead of standard like they do for the u.s. MARKET.
ANY MACHINE SHOP CAN RETHREAD THE HOLES, for the proper bolt your using. More than likely, a local machinist, or hardware store guy can tell you what it is just by looking at it. And a hardware store can sell you the proper tap, and new bolts, for cheap!
