Just recieved my 4343's. What a huge difference over the L300's! Problem though; on one speaker, no sound out of the 2405. Removed it, hooked it up directly, works fine. Cleaned the connectors, all 3 external pots work smooth-no static or binding. What next?

Check for voltage, or output, at each node of the UHF circuit. Use an LE5 if you don't have a voltmeter.

Giskard-Thanks for the direction, you were right on where to start. Did'nt take to long to find the no. 1 microfared cap was not cooperating. It felt like I was disturbing Tut's Tomb dismantling the cabinet though! And what a cab! The larger driver/horn compared to the L300's unit was quite a shock also. Anyway, sounds great [ah, as you know] Thanks Again! Don

"The larger driver/horn compared to the L300's unit was quite a shock also."

The horn in the 4343 is the shorter horn, the horn in the L300 is the longer horn. The CD should be the same as the L300. What are the model numbers of the drivers and horns in your 4343's?

Don,
the horn in your L300 should be the H92 (or 2312 pro) with a lenght of 12" and the LE85 driver.
the 4343 houses the 2307 with a lenght of 7" and the 2420 driver.
This shows, that the L300 has the larger horn.

JBL 1" throat exponential horns:
The longer horn is the H92/2312
The shorter horn is the H91/2307

Hi Guys! It's been a long time since I had the 300's apart. According to my [fading?] memory, the driver was smaller than the 2420 in the 4343. As far as the horn lengths, did'nt look at the model number. Now that everything is re assembled I plan to enjoy as is for a coupla weeks or so before the bi amp project. Hey, thanks again for your attention!
