Where can I find the yellow fiberglass insulation found in JBL speaker cabinets?

What I've used comes in fair-sized rolls and is normally used to wrap steam pipes and such. It's a bit denser than the pink stuff. I've found it to work well as damping material. I don't know if this is exactly the same as what JBL used, but it sure looks right.

Hi, I used to fab a/c sheet metal. Your local a/c shop has 9 inch wide rolls as well as 4 foot.

Would a water heater blanket work as well?

R11 and R19 work pretty well.

R30 and peel it in half or thirds. Don't put too much brain work in fiber fill. A little goes a long way. Too much goes the wrong way!

It is the cleanest tidiest way to do it right. I have gone through boxes and boxes of the stuff over the years...

I prefer polyester fiber fill but it's characteristics are different

I prefer working with it... but not it's sonic properties. In any case, this thread was about replacing 1" JBL fiberglass... the wrap-on stuff is spot on.
