Lacking only the illusive L250 and B460, this is the 1982 home speaker catalog. All re-finished, re-foamed and fresh fabric.

Soon to also be festooned with new XO caps.

L15, L46, L56, L86, L96, L112, L150A:

Guys,

All great shots of your collections.

RD - your photo could replace the catalog, its great. Maybe consider swapping the grilles at random on either side for another great shot.

Fred - Looks like all your L's sitting down for supper!

Hmm, some day, I'll gather all the JBL's for a group shot.

Well, they were about to get stuffed, that's for sure...now they all sing for their suppers, all but one L46 is in a working system.

Sorry I didn't compliment rdgrimes on the original post- that's a beautiful pic on its own, but knowing the work put into restoring all of them makes it much more impressive. :applaud:

The obvious question is, are either of you married? If I had to bet Vegas money I'd bet no. Personnaly if I had to do it all over again I'd marry the speaker collection. Nice to see the passion for these beautiful things. Keep up the good work.

You mean the guitar amps? Yep, there are two G1s here, both heavily modded. I've had one of them for more than 20 years.

Married for 8 years. When we got together I think the only JBLs I had at the time were PA speakers with E140s and 2470 horns, these were all accumulated since she moved in.

Which are your favorites?
Please don't say, "I love all my children equally" ...after all I was the black sheep.

For me, it would be L110s out of the "L" family represented here. L46s continue to impress me for their size & specs, and get daily use. Still trying to learn to love the L100s...

My "L300-ish" 4333As are pretty swell, though.

Not lacking anymore, huh? Very nice! :applaud:

P.S. I've since added L20T3s to the "L" family. Not nearly as impressive as your addition...

Still lacking the B460, which is not likely to change.

Already making plans to start selling off some of these.

Yeah, the B460 doesn't begin with "L", anyway...;)

Good luck in the sales, you seem to have taken the right approach in the renovations.

Doesn't begin with L but belongs with L. At least by my approach it does, cause it's in the 1982 catalog: http://www.lansingheritage.org/html/jbl/catalogs/1982-home.htm
Which is what I was collecting.

Looks like if I want one I'll have to build it.

The 250 surpasses it - newer tech, better design ...
You don't need both ...
(ducking and running)

nice collections!

What about the L300?

But a B460 would complete the set ...
I hear there's nothing like an 18" woofer

.

I seem to remember that JBLCanuk found a place that had 2 B460's for sale and would only sell as a pair, and he was looking for someone to split the set if the purchase was made. Mite check with him.

My "L"'s ? = L26,L36,L40,L56,L88,L100,L4410 (honorary), L166,L250ti (nonesuch, but mebbe a super L ??)

Stop posting photos of the B460 please!

It makes my credit card nervous. :biting: They are just too unreasonably expensive for what you get, performance-wise. so unless I stumble on one locally, it ain't happening.
