Posted this on AK and some members suggested I try here as well for advice:
p.s. The LE10 recone was done with a doped cloth surround in '75

Need advice on a "shed find".
1. Are these cabinets worth saving?
2. Is the recone LE10 close to matching the white cone?
3. Would it be better to re-veneer the whole cabinet, or just the damaged areas?

I don't want to part these out as I am trying to save them for my own use. Any tips on how to harden water damaged particle board, etc. would be much appreciated.

I could be wrong, but, in my opion, at any rate, there's no saving particle board like that. If I were determined to have Minigons, I'd build replica cabinets of plywood and veneer the whole schmear.

I would guess they are only near mint and is only cosmetic, it doesn't change the sound does it?

:applaud::D Nah, I wouldn't do that. Does seem to happen on "that site " a lot though. These were gifted to me, so I'm going to make some attempt to re-build them. I had some luck re-doing some L-212's a while ago, and want to keep my JBL white elephant collection growing.:D. Now I just need find to some Aquarius somewhere.

Yes, bad young person slang meaning they were absolutely free, at no cost to me, free ninety free, etc.....:D
