There has been some interest in digital EQ and crossovers. If you would like to find out about the lastest check this out.

Invented by the guy who co founded Fairlight, so if that's anything to go by its very very nice.

The DEQX Calibrated™ PDC-2.6 Processor is a 2-input, 6-output digital processor offering individual driver correction with extremely high order digital crossovers (typically 100dB/octave, but up to 300dB/octave) in addition to necessary room correction.

It's a great unit. I bought it to use on the 4- or 5-way horn system I am working on. I haven't had a chance to get into it yet, but just reading the manual shows that it's a very powerful tool. I spent a good while with these guys @ CES, doing a live demo with the unit, and it's an amazing piece of hardware.

Will post more details when I get a chance to work with it hands-on some more soon. Mainly waiting for some 80hz boxes from Bruce Edgar, which is the last piece I need.... Bruce does nice work but apparently is notoriously slow. I ordered and paid for the boxes in Jan. of this year... :banghead:

it's about $3k + options (balanced out, dig. out, preamp built in)... I got mine w/ Balanced and single-ended outs and the preamp option.

Does a lot for that price, IMHO though.
