as many of you know LSR systems where launched 10 year ago
starting with the LSR32 this speaker past some cosmetic makeover 5 years ago and became the LSR6332.
today i saw that thy were a clearance item in the store i bought them
Passive studio systems from what i see are not selling as much as active systems
i think JBL will have to build sooner or later a new active mid o far field monitor a this one should be active
last of this bread was the DMS-1 system with the DSC 280 crossover controller unit or an SMC 24 analog controller crossover
and you chose which amplifier to use (that was 1995)
Reading Floyd Toole Book it is mention all though he does not say the model that this speaker (DMS) in his blind tests finished always as a finalist.
that was using the technology of more than 13 years ago
i hope that soon there will be a new mid or far field loudspeaker with JBL name on it
i now that big monitor are not the every day sell especially with all the home studio out there
but i don see ACT PMC Genelec Dynaudio discontinuing there large format active or passive monitors.
