View Full Version : JBL L15 / L18Ti
I have a pair of both menthioned speakers. The foam surround on the L15 basses (115H) are gone :(. Can i swap them for a pair of basses of the type used in L18Ti (115H-1, rubber surroundings), without changing components in the dividing network?

They have different crossovers that's for sure. Take a look. You may be able to get away with it. Why don't you refoam the woofers???

I just re-foamed a pair of L15s. It was not the easiest one I've done. The foam from SpeakerRepair is not an exact fit, but does work well enough. I would expect the L115H-1 to give you a pretty different bass response.

I would like to use the 115H-1´s, because i don´t want to repair foam surroundings every 5 year, or so. For 10 years, or so, i had a pair of Infinity´s. Their Watkins basses got repaired 3 times, in those 10 years.
I know the difference in crossovers, and i can change the bass section, to fit the new unit.
