Hello
It's been a busy summer of live production audio.

I have a 2226 with the spider separated from the frame for about two inches. What's the best glue to reattach it with...Loctite 410, Pliobond, Scotch 847, ect.

This one was reconed about 4 years ago and it looks like they got a little skimpy on the glue at that section.

Thanks
Mike Caldwell

I found something that might be what your looking for I have JBL 2226 myself and did a simple Google search for. (JBL speaker spider glue) and found this.

"This adhesive is used for gluing the surround to the frame and spider to frame. You can use this adhesive for all types of surrounds, paper, foam, cloth and most rubber surrounds. Also use this for attaching dust caps of all types. Use to repair numerous types of speakers."

At the recommendation of another, I used Pliobond.

Worked GREAT!

The glue that 4645 is referring to is Sound Speaker Repair's bulk Moyen glue. Roger buys it in bulk and fills small bottles for sale.

It is the exact same glue found in most JBL recone kits.

I use it and its perfect.
