Hello,
I have a complete set of Altec Lansing Voice Of The Theater speakers. This includes 802D Drivers, 511B Horns, 416A Woofers, And N500D Crossovers. Would some one tell me how to chose cabinets for them? A7 model 825A or Altec Capestrino? I use it for home listening, prefer more bass? or any better cabinet for those drivers? Thanks!

I would recommend Onken (Hiraga) or BR boxes. I'm using A7 now with the same set-up (511b, 802G, 416A) and find the sound too top-heavy. The A7 box has very little bass reinforcement and I find myself overly l-padding the horn to compensate. I plan on making a change soon.

This is most noticeable on lower volumes or when sitting less than 15' away.

Sound is nice, otherwise.

YMMV.

Many thanks for your advice. Can you give me some link about Onken (Hiraga) or BR boxes that I can get some data before talking with capenter? Thanks once again.

I absolutely love it when Italians speak english (from the link above):

"some of the best drivers never produced. Originally born for professional use (when there was not availability of large powers and they had however to guarantee high sound pressures) they have low mass, very high sensibility in spite of generous dimensions"

Talking about Altec drivers at the link above. However the english, he made some great speakers and had a lot of fun it seems. Good work
