One of the engineers retired recently and I've been "borrowing" his industry magazines which continue to come in. The 03.15.04 issue of DesignNews features an "ad-article" on a "new" way to cool microchips without a fan using "synthetic air jets".

They sure look like miniature speakers to me! Even down to the baskets, magnets and two connectors. They "pump" back and forth, displacing air through an orifice (can you say port). This is from Professor Ari Glezer at Georgia Tech and it's NASA sponsored. Heck, any of us could've told NASA that! My 2214H's pump enough air to get the cloth flapping on the front of the grills! See these links, your tax research dollars hard at work! <8^)

He's not short; he's vertically challenged.....this isn't a plan, but a series of executible items......

These aren't speakers, they are synthetic air jets

This is really silly. You gotta call it like it is.
