I have a pair of LX 30 crossovers. I would like to verify that the crossover freq is 800hz/7khz and the rate is 12 db/octive.

thank, spencer

The filter for the 124 slopes off at ~ 6 dB / octave
The filter for the LE5 slopes off at ~ 12 dB / octave
The filter for the 077 slopes off at ~ 18 dB /octave

The voltage drive crossover frequencies with a standard 8 ohm test load are -3 dB at 550 Hz and -11 dB at 9 kHz. They behave correctly with the proper transducer loads. The networks take into account the acoustic response of the transducers and attenuate accordingly.

Where did you ever get hold of a pair of LX30's and do you have the rest of the S21 systems?

Ah!

Then you might just reference http://www.lansingheritage.org/images/jbl/catalogs/1976-comp/page7.jpg or http://www.lansingheritage.org/images/jbl/catalogs/1979-comp/page08.jpg rather than bring up the network service bulletin stuff.

These are those LX30's and not the original LX30 out of the L100/4310 right?

They are stand alone units with a seperate adjustment for mid and high freq drivers. A cable attaches the crossover to the controls.

A cast face plate houses the level adjustments.
