Hello ALL! Hope everyone is fine and all is well.

I just got this pair of 4411's that walked into my door. Someone has cut hubble 15amp twistlocks connectors in the backs.

Usual questions:
1. refoam or recone?

I'll clean them up and see if they even work.

Scotty.

Given the tape applied to the one 128H, I'd assume they were played like that and have little hope they're still viable.

I just looked up the 128 on the goes into list. Recone kits still available. $188 for 128H, $190 for 128H-1.

The 128's cleaned up well.

I have always reconed when possible, probably will to these.

Haven't tried the LE5-9 mids or the 044 tweets yet. That's tomorrow.

Must go home now. 10:40PM. Lisa will think I got a girl!

Thanks all!

Scotty.

I saw those some where. I remember the tape. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Both woofs prepared for re-foam. May recone, don't know yet.

One of the LE5-9 mids buzzed when swept. Finally cut the cone out and found big chunk of yuck in the gap. Had a tough time getting the gap clean and free of crap.

One 044 tweeter works. One 044 tweeter no go.

Summary: Looks there is some work to do on these.

Next: order parts and start filling the holes in the backs where the twist-on connectors were.

Then sand and watco cabs.

Not sure how to fix the broken off tabs on the grills. Maybe plastic fusion epoxy.

Stay tuned!

Scotty.
