Would anyone happen to know if a re-cone kit, part number 21353-5 is actually an ALTEC please? :o:
I've seen similar numbers that would suggest it is a real part number, but the -5 suffix confuses the issue.
I have come across a pair of ALTEC 420A's that have been re-coned, but the cones are not what they should be, and the only identifying feature on the back of the cone is 21353-5
So, it begs the question, if it is a real ALTEC cone, what does it really belong to?

Cheers all. :)

ps: I can see through the dustcap's breather hole that they have Aluminium voicecoil formers, if that's any help.

.... yes, at least a dozen times over, but thanks anyway. ;)

What I need is one of the 'local' ATLEC Historians here, to have an opinion.

Unfortunately, that post you mention raises more questions rather than answers. :(

This is a question for an ALTEC EXPERT.
So guys, where are you all? :o:
(.... come out, come out, wherever you are????)
