I got these with a bunch of HH Scott stuff today. The sound pretty darn good

Those would probably be from the 1960s. There were a number of Rek-O-Kut designs with Audax drivers in them, including the CA-70 and CA-100. These were open baffle designs.

seem to recall that Audax were produced in France.
