I have decided to start a new 3-way design project using a pair of Century Gold woofers and assorted drivers. My idea is to build a smaller, high SPL system that I can use in my family room. I will place them in book shelves.
My first thought was to build a speaker similar in design to the 4425 and add a 046ti for visual design balance.
My other goal is to use components that I presently have in my collection.
I downsized a few years ago and sent Mike Caldwell two pallets of JBL components. Anyway, a collection of JBL items still remains.
So I am thinking of mating the Century gold woofer, a JBL 2417h driver mounted on the 2342 horn, and the 046ti hi freq. I do have a pair of 093ti mids I could use but I like the butt's hanging out.
Now for my question. I need some design help on the crossovers and box and port size.
I have come to realize that my ex wife has all my design software.
I am more than happy to trade components for this assistance.
Any thoughts.
