Hi,

Anybody knows if I could use the M552 crossover to biamp my 4333A? I noticed knobs are used to adjust freq and loudness, but my question is how to accurately get the crossover freq to be 800Hz using a knob (not sure if its stepped) in order not to damage the hi freq drivers?

Thanks

David

Hello David

Sure you could. The filters are within about 14% of nominal on the dial if I remember right. So fiddle around the 800/900 mark and go from there. Make sure you don't have it set up as divide by 10 or that dial becomes 18-200hz. The green light over the dial will be on if it is set-up that way. Do you have an RTA?? You can mute the top and set the individual channels up relatively closely that way by looking at the slopes. You should be down 6db at 800Hz if that is your nominal crossover frequency. Just go on the high side. Also remember you have 24db slopes so I wouldn't worry to much. If it sounds good your OK.

Rob:)
