Just picked up this pair of old cabinets with a single Jensen Special Design 12" speaker wired direct to external posts. Inside dimension of cabinet is 16 3/4" W X 23 1/4" H and 15 1/4" D. Numbers on the Jensen speakers - 220113 : 401-31-C6856 : Input 16 ohms. Looks like cabs have a cutout of about 10" X 3 1/4" for a horn? Has a bottom port of about 3"-4". If anybody has any info it would be appreciated. Thanks

Mine unfortunately have been overdriven and worthless to me.

It looks like a horn might have gone into that system with the 2 mfd cap already in place and the wires to the horn go through the bottom of the 12" driver.

How does it sound by itself?

Regards, Ron

Hi Ron. They actually do not sound bad at all the way it is set up. I was expecting a muddy sound but they are surprisingly clear and clean. I really like the cabinets and was thinking of adding a horn. But i have no idea how to fiqure out who made the cabinets. I guess it does not matter but i could use some advice on a horn and crossover that would work well in these. Thanks. David

I have a few catalogs from 1962 to 68, but this cabinet is not in them. It may be older. It might help to remove the speaker and get a picture of the front. Is there a whizzer?
You might want to browse around the HifiLit site for clues also.
