Hello friends,

I found this story on the internet ! Is this statement correct ?. Can these tweeters be used without changing the X-overs. F.i.: can a pair of 033 tweeters from a JBL L110 loudspeaker be replaced by a pair of JBL 052TI tweeters without any sonic differences ?

Kind regards,

"JBL Tweeter 052TI 74856X. This tweeter can also be used as a replacement for many discontinued tweeters by JBL. The following is a list of tweeter models that JBL no longer offers that can be replaced with the 052TI. JBL 066, JBL 033, JBL 035TI, JBL 035TIA, JBL 035TI-A, TDT1000, TD1000, TD-1000, and TD 1000. It is recommended that you replace the tweeters in pairs so you will have an exact sonic match" .

I'll hazard a guess that the "exact sonic match" would be between the two modified
speakers, not between a modified and an unmodified one. ... so, in my opinion:
yes,
yes,
and no. :)
