Can't find any info on these....

I just refoamed a set of L100T's (the TBQ, black lacquer version) and was reading up on some of the posts here. What I saw referenced was the preference of the crossover of the L100T3 over the version in these.

Well, I have another set to repair, the L100S Titaniums which I think, where for the military market as they are clad in... vinyl. Anyway, what are the chances that these have the "T3" crossover network? I don't want to yank out the xover of the the recently repaired ones to compare so I thought I'd inquire here 1st.

Thanks for any help!

1st JBL resto was a set of L80T's and I've got a set of L-26's in progress...

Well, there are slight cosmetic differences between the T and the T3 version that you can usually use to tell them apart.

The T version usually has small square metal JBL logo's in the top right, whereas the T3 versions usually have plastic JBL logo's in the top left. Also, the spacing of the drivers was changed as well. In the L100T, the 035Ti, 104H-2, and the 2214H are all about a 3/4" apart whereas in the L100T3 there is a noticibly larger gap between the 2214H-1 and the 104H-2 than between the 104H-2 and the 035TiA.

From the pictures I've seen on the internet, such as from this completed auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270234444411) seem to show the L100S as having a configuration identical to that of the L100T3, so given that, I would expect it to have a L100T3 crossover inside it.

Usually the crossover is pretty plainly labeled with either N100T for the L100T crossover or NL100T3 for the L100T3 crossover if you just want to peek inside but it might have another name for the L100S even if it is functionally identical.

You were right on target Chris! The S Titaniums do have the L100t3 crossover! I think a transplant is in the future for the L100t's.

On a side note, I got the surround kit for the t's from Parts Express. The surrounds fit just right but the hub cap sized dust covers??? Does anyone make an OEM resto kit for these 12's? I endend up not removing the dustcap and shimming. No ill effects now in 3 weeks so I fairly certain the VC stayed centered.
