I'm not quite sure that the 2452H-SL has enough bottom end on the waveguide to make it work.How low does it go?

By distribution pattern, first 3, then square rotatable (PT-H) vs. compact rectangular (PT-F).

How low have you tried them?? It looks like you may be able to get them down to 800-1K

I'm typically running between 1 - 1.2 kHz. My goal there was to get below 1 kHz, and it looks from these measurements that any of them will do that with 2452H-SL.

My conclusions from the above:

1) The larger square PT-H versions play lower than the "compact" rectangular PT-Fs of the same dispersion pattern, confirming earlier findings.

2) The PT-H95 (green) gets lowest with the smoothest VHF response. That's the one I've previously observed sounds best of the lot with other drivers. However, it is a deep horn, which, in my view, virtually requires woofer delay for time/phase alignment. I can do that, active, but perhaps someone has other options to consider for using it passive.

3) I don't know what's up with PT-H64 (blue, also a deep horn,) at 13+ kHz. That's a familiar trouble zone with certain other PT/driver combinations. The compact PT-F64 (cyan) sounds good and is easy to EQ. With other drivers, it needs nearly no compensation. It's just a narrower pattern than I'm yet comfortable with.

I'll be activating that thread again soon. I have my S99 towers running now, thanks to Johnaec making the plinths for me. I'm building a second pair with LE14H-3 and 2452H-SL on PT-F95, and maybe everyone will help me with filter sims again.... :)
