Hi,
I just picked up a pair of "Art Deco" Looking vintage speakers at a local goodwill.

They have no markings at all on them, so i opened one up to see if i could find anything (need to glue a plastic frame thinger back on anyway).

there is just one 8" Shielded Floor-Firing Driver with JBL on the Dust Cap.

I say they look Art Deco because they have very nice looking squared cabinets that set on a plastic lifter/stand/chamber for sound?, with a lift at the top with a pyramid shaped white cone coming downward.

Much likes this design (but flip it around and add the bottom part):

Ive looked through the catalogues here, as well as online... and i cannot seem to find anything about them.

If anyone has any sites, info and what-not, please post.

Thanks!!!

They look to be 1970's-80's Range.

Numbers on the Driver:
JBL 71861 60T-JBA
5808401001

Well,
it looks like this is not a matching item...
The JBL driver looks to be a later subwoofer (90's)
and the enclosure looks to be 70's, with holes of where a smaller driver/s was mounted inside.

I still dont have any idea of the cabinet make, these are very unusual enclosures and very apealing.

The square cabinets and the pyramidal diffuser thing, sound like probably one of the JBL Aquarius models. If it's a single 8" woofer, probably an Aquarius 4, I'd guess...

Does the cabinet look like this, by chance?
