2441 ???

Hi Did the 2441 diaphram have a small round dot applied to the center of dome like on the 2445 diaphram. If any one has a picture of one new please feel free to post.:confused:

Thanks for that info. I always thought jbl only added that dot to the 2445 diaphram because it was a bit too bright and the dot tamed it down a bit. The reason i asked is because there is a pair for sale on ebay with pics and they did look to be alum. but they had the dot. Thanks again:D

Are the ones on eBay the ones that say "pulled out of Meyer 2441´s"?, They look Titanium, and they might or not be JBL.

Hi John,

here's a pic with the dot of the 2441 (original JBL)
not easy to see...with a diameter of about 9mm in the center of the dome.

BTW: I miss the typeplate of this driver....is this available as a spare part?

Hi Mike,

posible that they use the same replacement for 2440 and 2441?

This dot is from the bypass valve for the hydraulic fabrication of the dome.

Hello, Well the 2440 diaphragm doesn't have the diamond pattern for the extended breakup like the 2441, different part number, price, ect.. Probably just using the same machine to fabricate the new diaphragms.
