L5 speakers

I have a set of L5s but one tweeter is burned. I also have a 4412A that work fine, I think It has the same tweeter as L5s , would it beworth putting the tweeter in the L5s or leave things alone? I like both pairs and could just use L5s for surrund.

The tweeter you need for the L5 is an 035TiA. The 4412A uses an 052ti, not a direct swap. Don't ruin one for the other. The 035TiA comes up on Ebay all the time. Not cheap but not too bad. Pairs have gone recently for $69-$85 and a single sold for $61. Go figure; a whole pair of L5 can be had for just $200.

I don't know what you're using to run these but you might want to consider a better amp since most often the 035TiAs fail from sending them a distorted signal from not enough power, as odd as that might seem. Search this site and you'll find plenty of references including a JBL bulletin referring to underpowered-tweeter failures.
