I live in Denmark

so you DO know where you live!
that makes it a lot easier to know each other.
:blah:
the >best< are not on list btw.

-personally i would go for the 4312. in fact, i nearly bought a pair last month.
depends on the price, really.
the L26 are kinda the smallest on your list, but i own a pair and i really do love them.
the L1oo are a legend.
the L166 are an advanced legend.

cheers,
mikey

HI! jbl l166 are the best! guido

How dos it sound, is it like a monitor speaker?

well they are all monitors, but to answer your question, only the 4312 is a studio-monitor.
best would be to takee a listen yourself -try to find a friend with old jbl and give it a shot. take your time, its important to lisen, especially at this price range.
wich brings me to the next point:
>they are all too expensive<

Prices depend on condition, thats hard to say w/o better pics.

Dollars are currently not much worth in europe.. so let's have a look in euros.

L26 Decade: just had the chance to listen to a pair (refoamed their 125A woofers). I liked what I heard. Might be the best of the Decade series, not few people even prefer them to their bigger sisters, the 3-way L36. 270€ is a bit steep.

4312 is a control monitor, drivers are basically comparable to L100 Century. I've sold my 4312's in spring for 575€ (~900$) and IMO that already was a good price. 780€ is much too expensive unless they are NIB, museum condition. Search for L100 on this site and you'll get an idea how they are regarded sound-wise. In short, they "polarize".. ;)

L166's are a way better balanced system. I own a pair for +30 years, can't imagine to sell them, one league above – no doubt your best choice of these four. Given that they are rare, and if in good condition, at 470€ they are probably in the right ballpark for Denmark.

Good luck.

Hello
None of my friends are interested in hi-fi, so they donīt have JBL speakers.
The price is not that important so long as it plays good. With one is the most musical of them?

With one is the most musical of them?I'm pretty sure Fangio (who has the hands-on experience to evaluate them) told you he preferred the L166. Unless I'm missing something, that's been your best advice.
