What, if anything would be wrong with pairing a set of 2404 tweeters and a set of 2416h-1 horn & 2342 Lens together in a speaker enclosure. Would I still have 100 X 100 coverage with both? What crossover point would you suggest?
Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

I think adding the 2404 would only have marginal benefit. Even then, you'd have to be sure you had standard 2404H versions, with the original D16R2405 diaphragms, for HF response. The 2404H-1, (often seen on eBay as people part out systems that used these), uses the D16R2402 diaphragm, which doesn't really have any better HF response than the 2416's.

The issue is which has "better" VHF output above, say, 10 kHz, compensated 2416H-1 or 2404H with the proper diaphragm.

My bet is on 2404H.

With a proper crossover, they will blend nicely, most likely. As we measured them in the ring radiator comparison thread, the dispersion characteristics of 2404H are quite remarkable....
