Don't have pictures yet but am looking at a pair of speakers each containing dual 2234's, 2445j's on 2380 horns an 2404H. About 3 feet
tall and 4 feet wide. Any ideas?

Sounds like someone modified a 4435 and added a top end tweeter, likely a DIY set up.

No commercial JBL I know of has that combination, especially the 2234's. The DMS1 has kinda that format but doesn't have the tweeter and uses neodynium drivers.

Pics will help a lot when available.

Bart

Wait, you could also be talking about some custom monitors like Augspergers or maybe Westlakes which used JBL components in a custom configuration.

HMMM, where are you located?

Sounds like a home-brew system with those components specified.

How about pics???

I will have pics this weekend. The boxes were apparently part of the main cluster in a theatre. From what I gather if it is a homebrew design, they were well built...

Latest dimensions 28"x40"x20. Woofers below, tweeter between with
mid on top. I guess I'll find out more on Saturday...

Sounds like one of the 80s vintage JBL Cinema Systems. I picked up a similar configuration. I believe there are some of the catalogs from back then in the LH Library.

Cheers,

David

As a once lifetime Maryland who moved to fairfax around 2000, I'd be interested in the where ... (if its MD)

Well....it is certainly "homebrew"...

I've never tried this before so let's hope this attachment thing works...

The cab is rough. Doesn't look like a JBL cab. The components have value. How much would you offer?

if it was a homebrew, it was nicely done...

rounded edges, etc...
