From an article on GPS devices and their errors "
Steered Wrong:
Drivers Trust GPS
Even to a Fault"

"Harvey Gerst, a 70-year-old recording engineer from Sanger, Texas, says it's taken him some time to get used to his device. After it directed him into oncoming traffic last December, he started calling it Christine, for the malevolent Plymouth in a Stephen King horror novel. "She's trying to kill me," he says. But the more he uses it, the better sense he has for when to listen to her instructions. "Basically, she's quirky and we understand that.""

I have a website link on my other machine that provides a tool and instructions to put your own voices into a tomtom. Endless possibilities, also different languages they don't supply.

With enough jenna jamison movies you could find enough phrases to make a really interesting set of voice commands for your GPS.

First, they did a two page article on me in audioMIDI's newsletter, then the Sanger Courier and Krum Star (two local newspapers) ran front page articles on me a month or so ago, and now this.

I'm either getting belated recognition, or these are early obituaries.

As long as they are saying nice things about you I wouldn't sweat it

Looks like you are North of Denton, eh Harvey? I went to school there one year............North Texas State. Great jazz bands there, I'm sure you know.

I'm slightly north (and west) of Denton, TX; between Krum, and Bolivar.

Harvey, some people jump off buildings to get recognition. You on the other hand are being quoted about your TomTom. You must be living right Brother! :D
