Yes, the C8R2235 is the only kit available for the 136A, 136H, 2231A, 2231H, 2234H, and 2235H. The C8R2231 kit was discontinued quite some time ago.

Yes, the only replacement cone still available for the 2231A is the cone kit for the 2235H.
"Are they the same?" ... I think the 2235H cone has a very slightly longer voice coil and maybe a heavier cone and I suspect changes like different adhesives, etc. I'm not really sure.
I do know the 2231s sound great with the 2235 cones.

Also, they take more power and give You more usable low bass, according to JBL they are 1dB less efficient, but they are better.
