so what gives with their technologies?

Is it 'simply' equalization and phase aberations?

anyone know about their methods?

Hi LG

My understanding about SRS is that its done thru phase shifting , not EQ . There is a noticeable gain increase when engaging. IT DOES WORK.

I have a Hughes SRS for the HT and for the stereo there is a "NU Reality VT-100" ..., it does make a slightly better image on the 2 speaker systemthan the Hughes. I LIKE SRS , tho some do not. It is possible to move the vocalist closer to the listener and to widen the soundstage and the latter in a small room helps.

here is a NR unit.

Is this similar to the BBS Sonic Maximizer?

i've never hear a BSS maximixer on it's own, so ??

i guess you could say the effect is simmilar to the old Barcus Berry 202R i have though...

they seem to be installing this SRS stuff in alot on new HD and Plasma TVs, car audio head units, MP3 players... stuff like that
