Hello, My first post in the Lansing Heritage forum. Over the years I have aquired some vintage speakers and would like to ask the experts which to team together in what cabinet. I rotate various tube amps thru my system. Currently EICO hf89 with stiffend Altec 9844's. I also use various Scott amps, 250's & 296 and of course the ubiqitous Dynaco st70. All have been fitted with either hovland, auricaps or silverfoil in oil. Other speakers I rotate in are a pair of C37's I had sent in from Hal Cox w/2 d130's and 075's. But I believe that I prefer the 9844's. Now to the main question: I have a pair of Altec 288's with mantaray horns from a local theater, some extra d130's and 4 604's, 2 B's and 2 C's. I was thinking of building an Altec 821 type box to house a pair of 130's and the 288's on top. I have a new electronic crossover that I want to use to bi-amp this new setup and use a powered sub. What is the ULTIMATE CABINET for my available components? Thanks to all.....
