I just scored the speakers I've been wanting for 32 years.
Funny how life works. Things seem to come to you when you have your mind focused on the article or circumstance you desire. I call it the "Red Cadillac theory. How often do you see a Red Caddy...well, almost never. But the second you decide you have to have one, they start popping up every where...passing you on the highway, driving by a bill board--you can spot one a mile away in a parking lot. THE POINT IS: there are no more Red Cadillacs now than there were before.

I have been away from the forum for the better part of a year, when I decided to pass by. Someone posted an "Audiogon" ad for a pr. of 4315's in great shape that just happened to be a local pickup (3hrs away)...Sold and delivered to my door for $1,500.
Sonically in immaculate shape. Drivers pristine. All four bass and mid drivers refoamed last September. Cross overs perfect with no static or dead spots. Physically, good shape a few minor scratches, grilles perfect. Consecutive serial numbers, one owner who had them stored for 20 years.

I am well aware there are better speakers out there and I have owned better JBL's but, I guess these are the babies that I could never afford when I was a kid, and I fell in love with their acoustic signature.
Thanks fellow member's...especially johnaec who posted the ad!
Only complaint--why didn't they mirror image these things...

Sounds familiar. :)

Congratulations on a nice find. I have always thought they were a nice physical size and a good combination of drivers.

I'm sorry I missed them, if they were that close to T.O.!:)

Congratulations! What a nice score!
They along with the 4345s are my favorite 4300 series monitors.

Congrats ! Another forum member in the Northeast just scored a mint pair 10 minutes from my house. While I was trying to decide how to justify them to my better half, he made the move. Hopefully he'll post some pics soon. They looked really nice.

Only complaint--why didn't they mirror image these things...Yeah, JBL didn't mirror image the 4313 or 4315 from the factory (as well as many other models). For those of us who cared it was up to us to do it ourselves.

I really like the 112/2108 and I think that 124/2203 still ranks as the most powerful LF transducer JBL ever made.
