Can anybody tell if the M151-4
http://www.usspeaker.com/jbl%20M151-4-1.htm
is a suitable replacement for the 150-4C? The 150-4C went out of production before the advent of T/S parameters, so there is no easy way of comparing them. Perhaps I'm just misled by their similar names.

I believe the spiritual descendant is the JBL ME150H. And it is available.

Jbl called the E145-16 as a replacement for the 150-4C. The TSP for the E145 are known.
Is there anyone here from the TSP 150-4C has measured?

ps Jan, what are you doing with the 150-4C?

The M151 is a low-end music instrument speaker, used in JBL's entry-level PA cabinets. There's no comparison to the 150C.

The E-145 is the modern day 150-4.

Or was, as JBL dont make that no more!

The M 151 will work to some degree, but, a lacquer dipped cone is a hard cone, good upper bass clarity, not as soft sounding on the deeper low end. Very high efficiency, instrument apps needed that, but for hi-fi, you might find them a bit too unrefined sounding.

But, alas, JBL dont make them no more, either!

The ME150H has NOTHING in common with the 150-4C.
EVERYTHING is different.

Do a search for ME150H. I did a presentation of this speaker. You'll see then.
