Hi all,
I've found one of my 2440's has failed and need a replacement pair of dias. Before I go and spend some proper money(Thanks Richard)and have forumites helping me sort it, what's the general opinion on the 'best' replacement ie 2440's, 2441's, Aquaplased 2441's-any others?
They are on 2397's with 2405 on uhf duties.
thanks
Frank

I'm using factory (titanium) aquaplased 2450SL diaphragms in my 2450's in my 4345's, and they seem very satisfactory. I have not CLIO's them or anything like that, but my distorted, aged and corrupted hearing tells me I'm happy. I believe at one point RH. G.43xxb said he'd put those, or the like, into 2441's for a diy version of that speaker. Anyway, there're two opinions. I like the aluminum 2441 in that driver also, but have not systematically compared them.

cooky,
I have heard the 2441 Dia at HP's place. It sounded very, very good indeed.
Its not a Tad 4003, but if it was good for Westlake:D I can aquaplas it for you.
It comes off if you don't like it . Better still, we could dust the old one and A-B them first.
