I have bought in mint condition this model of jbl and want to know the different available colors that exist for this model.thanks.

I ask because since I have seen some 4312A as others that I have, in white and black color ... I ask if another color exists for this model since I want to restore the wood and he was thinking to do it in another color.

Grumpy meant the grille colors.

There were unveneered versions of most of the studio monitors offered optionally at that time, usually painted in light grey. In case of the 4312's you're right – I've seen also 'A' versions, painted black with big white JBL logos on their sides.

The L40 was intended for home use though, and afaik there wasn't a studio equivalent of it. In short, I'd rather stick with the original veneer color in that case – in particular if that's in good condition, as you say.
