My last post noted my 035tia tweeters in both cabinets no longer working.
After confirming both speakers worked with direct source and in spec I handed the x-overs to AUDIOTRONICS of Cherry Hill NJ for repair along with my Hafler DH500 for bench testing.
Heres the bill.

Replace 1, 6.5 ohm resister on each x-over
Adjust non-equal heating up of channels on Amp.

$108.00

Very Satisfied.
For the record the owner is a prior Hafler authorized repair shop.
Owner still drives a nice Bricklin Exotica that he has owned since new in 1974.

How cool is that!

Bricklin was one of the safest cars made in it's day and other than to be cool, that was the actual intent of the design. Just look at the bumpers and doors!

Bricklin designation "SV-1" means "Safety Vehicle 1"

Not a Bricklin man (almost had a couple on various occasions), and my tastes run a little faster, but they have a certain cool factor too.

I just finished a resto-mod on this. We've had it for almost 25 years now.

i think thats a little less that 1/2 restored...

oh to have a p1800! how sad, i erred on the side of practicality and got a honda element.

then again, i did sink 8000 into my 240 and what did that get me besides an 8000 hole in my pocket.... :banghead:

i think it makes more sense to just buy a new p1800.

www.p1800.com really nice guy out on the cape, does beautiful work. of course the one i looked at over at his place wasnt road legal.. sigh..

It was tune-up time for my 2002tii. They spent the whole time I was there trying to extricate a customer——who had just returned from a test drive ——from the cabin of the Brickbat. The doors wouldn't open.

BMW showed the world that a safety car could be a performance car and not look like a tugboat, two years before the Bricklin:

Im sitting on $4000.00 in new chrome etc. Installed all new brake hardware. And new seats from your p1800.com Don Thblt.
BUT
I dont have the back or time for it anymore.
Had I awakened to Ebay and the net 10 years sooner than 2000 I would have had a better fighting chance. But nowadays?? Im getting ~~~oh so tired~~~

Sure is a pretty little thing though. Heres the pitch!
Only 88,000 miles
And it boasts the highest production number in circulation (with contact info) "on the nets P1800 register" of the last true 1800 eng

After 1968 they increased eng displ to 1900 or so you might say
Imposter!
